Jeremy Crew qualified from Cambridge University in 1989. Following surgical training he commenced urological specialist training in 1994 and has been providing a urological service for 27 years since that time.
During his urological training Jeremy achieved a Doctor of Medicine from Cambridge university and his thesis on the molecular biology of bladder cancer was awarded the Sir Walter Langdon-Browne prize from Cambridge University in 1997 and the European Association of Urology Thesis award in 1998.
Jeremy training was supplemented by clinical attachments in New York (USA), Berne (Switzerland) and Mansoura (Egypt).
In 2001 Jeremy started as a consultant urological surgeon and honorary senior lecturer at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Over the past 20 years Jeremy has provided an NHS and private service to the Oxford and Banbury region with a specialist opinion and referral practice from hospitals throughout the extended Thames Valley region.
Jeremy continues to provide a local a region service for general urology together with a specialist service for the management of urological cancer, lower urinary tract symptoms, BPH surgery, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal and the management of haematuria (blood in the urine).
Jeremy Crew has been active on the national and regional stage with both management and training role. He has been part of the executive committee for British Association of Urological Surgeon (BAUS) Uro-oncology, the national cancer peer review team, the Urology Intercollegiate Court of Examiners and as a Trustee on the Action Bladder Cancer UK (ABCUK) charity.
Jeremy has been awarded national awards for clinical excellence.
